Coach Registration

Anyone wishing to volunteer for a CYBA coaching role must first register here, which is a quick, easy process to cover the following items:

• Authorization for CYBA to run a CORI background check annually (legal requirement of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts)
• Agreement to always act in accordance with the CYBA Coaches Code of Conduct

Registration is a required first step, but does not by itself guarantee a coaching role.  The CYBA Board of Directors reviews all registrations and maintains an approved list of candidates for all coaching roles.  All coaches are selected from that list and all decisions are made based on the total number of roles to be filled.

Concussion Awareness Training

"Heads Up - Concussions in Youth Sports" is a great website from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) with a lot of great content and printable reference material for coaches, parents, and players.  The site contains a very informative Online Training Course that the CYBA strongly encourages all coaches to complete.  

The video course takes about 40 minutes to watch, and there's a short test at the end.  When you complete the test, send an email to  as proof of your completion.
